As mentioned before, I’ve always been a huge podcast fan. To me it has the positive qualities of reading combined with the ability to consume on the go. In 2023, it seems nearly impossible to run out of content to consume. We have access to virtually every bit of media ever created and the total volume of content grows each day at an exponential rate. Even with all of the available content it’s easy to wonder what some of the world’s smartest minds might have said had they lived in an era of podcast interview abundance.
Podcast.ai is an application that creates hypothetical podcast interviews between some of the most famous figures in the past century. The first few episodes include Steve Jobs being interviewed by Joe Rogan, Lex Fridman interviewing Richard Feynman, and Oprah discussing her stress management strategies. Selecting guests seems to involve individuals who have been interviewed at a large scale and who have said many words, phrases, and thoughts in front of a microphone. As of now, that seems to be a fairly limited subset of humans – politicians, television / radio show hosts, CEOs, Podcasters, and YouTubers. As time goes on, it is my assumption that the pool of individuals we can create these hypothetical podcasts for will continue to grow. I’d love to tune in on a debate between Barack Obama and Donald Trump that’s podcast.ai generated!
